Plumbing Service Technician

Team member must be comfortable communicating with customers.

Required experience:
• Plumbing experience or certificate or diploma from trade program: 1 year

Mechanical Estimator

The position would include all aspects of preparing and submitting a bid or estimate.  Applicant must be capable of completing projects/tasks with minimal supervision.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Distribute all bid requests to manager
  • Attend select pre-bid meetings
  • Prepare bids along with updating the computer estimating system as assigned by manager. Responsible for all aspects of the computer estimating system.
  • Prepare bids following Brubaker Inc. procedure. (Visit existing job site to review conditions, prepare bid in a clear, concise manner to define the scope of work and identify exclusions. Prepare bid according to code requirements/specifications, review the proposal with manager before submitting, deliver the proposal to appropriate contractor/customer, etc.) Adhere to time frames/schedules both external and internal.
  • Responsible for code compliant design for design/build projects. Alternates on proposals when necessary.
  • Update and communicate bidding results and all other pertinent information to the manager.
  • Formulate submittal documents for each contracted job in a timely manner for review by the manager. Provide all pertinent drawings for acquired projects.
  • Provide job information which includes but not limited to, job site address, general contractor’s contact information, municipality/inspector information including permits, etc. Maintain and complete a bid checklist for each bid project. Provide material information, pricing, and hour break-down for bid projects. Include all bid-stage correspondence/verbal communication noted and included in the folder. Provide a copy of specs for engineered projects in a folder. Utilize administrative assistant with preparation.
  • Ensure appropriate documentation is received on contracts, change orders, extra work. Assist manager with pricing for large change orders when requested.
  • Follow up with general contractors, engineers, and other customers on all submitted bids.
  • Ensure appropriate licenses acquired for municipalities we anticipate working in for each job.
  • Perform necessary duties to provide the production of accurate job cost reports. Provide closeout documentation for each project. Review all projects at the beginning and at completion with the manager.
  • Compile and maintain design-build fixture package.
  • Communicate with the manager. Inform manager of appointments, schedule, backlogs, and shortage of work. Coordinate with other estimators to ensure coverage.
  • Responsible for acquiring new business by contacting new/existing customers.
  • Communicate with other estimators in order to produce combination bids.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

  • 1-3 years of relatable experience.
  • Valid Driver’s license.
  • Knowledge of HVAC and plumbing and capable of performing the duties of the role independently.

Part-time Purchaser

Responsibilities would include performing a variety of miscellaneous duties to ensure the proper functioning of purchasing procedures including the following:

  • Issue purchase orders for Commercial Division team and Service Division technicians.
  • Scan receivers, receive/enter material data into the computer.
  • Maintain work on status and update as needed.
  • Update appliance delivery manifest.
  • Order materials for all departments - partner with department managers about required pricing.
  • Monitor POs for max items, issue POs if necessary.
  • Issue POs for subcontractors.
  • Review commercial job pricing on bid materials that are quoted.
  • Partner with Accounting Department regarding invoices and receipt issues.
  • Oversee tool allowance tracking.
  • Overhead purchasing (i.e. office supplies).
  • Amazon account authorized purchasing agent.
  • Warranty/parts return processing and purchase orders.
  • Adhere to the Company Code of Ethics and Team Rules.

Minimum Qualifications

  • 1+ year of purchasing experience is preferred but not required.
  • Experience in the construction industry is a plus but not required.
  • Comfortable with Microsoft Office and various operating systems.
  • Position is part-time, Monday through Friday 7:am - 12:00pm.
  • Starting pay is based on experience.
