Summary: The Commercial Plumbing Foreman will oversee and coordinate plumbing projects from start to finish, ensuring high standards of quality, safety, and efficiency. This role involves managing a team of plumbers and apprentices, liaising with clients and subcontractors, and ensuring that projects are completed on time and within budget. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in commercial plumbing, strong leadership abilities and a deep understanding of industry codes and regulations.
Responsibilities:
• Be able to direct multiple journeymen, apprentices, and subcontractors in plumbing work
• Communicate with project manager to determine scope of work
• Read blueprints and drawings to understand or plan the layout
• Order material for projects in a timely fashion
• Prepare, cut, assemble, and install plumbing material and equipment according to plans, prints, code, and safety procedures
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues
• Make arrangements for needed tools and equipment with warehouse in a timely fashion
• Provide accurate projections and outlooks of job site status and requirements
• Consult project manager with staffing needs and issues
• Complete jobs on time and within budget
• Establish daily schedule and assign tasks for your project
• Arrange meetings with project manager to discuss project when needed
• Other duties as assigned by the project manager, plumbing managers or Board of Directors
Qualifications:
• Preferred 2 years of experience as a foreman
• Preferred minimum 4 years of experience in the plumbing trade
• Thorough knowledge of plumbing theory, methods, practices, tools, and equipment
• Organizational skills to process required job site paperwork
• Strong team building and leadership skills
• Good analytical skills and attention to details with the ability to read and interpret blueprints, plans and manuals
• Journeyman and/or Master license is a plus
