Brubaker Inc. is excited to announce that our CEO, Aimee Deraco, is being honored as the Small Businessperson of the Year at the Lancaster Chamber Dinner, on June 6th 2024.  This annual event celebrates remarkable achievements and movement makers in our business community. Small Businessperson of the Year is one of the Chamber’s top achievements and we couldn’t be more proud of Aimee; and her dedication to Brubaker and our Lancaster County community!

Aimee is a dynamic and results-driven leader and serves as the CEO of Brubaker, a 100% employee-owned home service and commercial construction company dedicated to providing solutions for homeowners and businesses in the Lancaster County community. With a strong background in leadership, business, and financial management and a genuine passion for her team and customers, Aimee is playing a pivotal role in establishing Brubaker Inc. as a trusted name in the industry.

 

Leadership History

Prior to Brubaker Inc., Aimee spent 6 years as the COO of YDOP, a digital agency that specialized in marketing for home service, outdoor living, and construction companies. 

Before YDOP, Aimee spent 5 years as the President of Synapse Marketing Solution, a Digital Agency that serviced large corporate clients. Before that, she spent eight years as the COO of Way Serves Inc where she led six locations, three separate business units, and oversaw operations and leadership for more than 1000 employees. 

Her professional achievements include being named to the Forty Under 40 in 2006, a Best 50 Women in Business in 2007, recipient of the Lancaster Chamber’s Athena Award in 2009, earning the 25 Women of Influence Award in 2010, the Women of Influence Community Service Award in 2011 and the Lancaster Chamber’s Small Businessperson of the Year award. She has also been published in the book Chicken Soup for the Soul Tough Times, Tough People. 

Aimee currently volunteers with the Lancaster Chamber of Commerce and Industry as a mentor with the Discovering Paths program, a member of the Athena Award Selection Committee, and the Strategic Planning Committee. She also serves on the Blackline Institute Advisory Board. Past service includes the YWCA Board of Directors, the Lancaster Chamber Board of Directors, the Workforce Investment Board, Tabor Community Services, the Chambers Women in Business Committee as well as the Excellence Exchange Committee, and as a past President of the American Businesswomen’s Association. In addition, Aimee spent two years working with our county commissioners to build the 10-Year Plan to End Homelessness and has mentored more than 50 women throughout her career. 

Aimée’s favorite roles are being a wife to Mike, a Mom to Evan and Cara, and a Mimi to her grandsons Cole, Caden, Roran, Malcolm, and Greyson, and a dog Mom to Ripley and Gracie!
