Commercial HVAC Mechanic
Summary
The Commercial HVAC Mechanic is responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems in commercial buildings.
Responsibilities
- Install, service, and repair commercial HVAC systems, including rooftop units, chillers, boilers, and split systems
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings
- Perform routine preventative maintenance to ensure system efficiency and longevity
- Diagnose mechanical and electrical issues and implement effective solutions
- Ensure all work complies with local building codes and safety regulations
- Collaborate with project managers, estimators, and other trades on job sites
- Maintain accurate service records and documentation
- Communicate with customers regarding system issues, recommendations, and solutions
Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience working with commercial HVAC systems
- Ability to read blueprints and technical specifications
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
