Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated HVAC Estimator to become part of our employee ownership team. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of HVAC systems, building codes, and a proven track record of producing accurate, detailed estimates for commercial HVAC installations and renovations
Responsibilities:
- Review project plans, specifications, and proposals to prepare accurate HVAC system cost estimates.
- Perform take-offs, material and labor calculations, and evaluate subcontractor and supplier proposals.
- Develop and maintain relationships with vendors and subcontractors to obtain competitive pricing for materials and labor.
- Analyze project specifications and blueprints to determine scope of work and identify potential challenges.
- Work closely with project managers, engineers, and clients to ensure estimates align with project requirements and budgets.
- Stay updated with local and national HVAC codes and regulations to ensure compliance in all estimates.
- Attend pre-construction meetings and project site visits when necessary to gather data and assess conditions.
- Provide clear, comprehensive, and timely estimates for HVAC projects, including equipment, labor, and materials
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in HVAC estimating for commercial construction projects.
- Experience with design-build projects and integrated project delivery
- Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, codes, and commercial building construction processes
- Previous experience with CAD and Revit is beneficial.
- Proficiency in HVAC estimating software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to interpret blueprints, specifications, and scope documents accurately.
- Strong communication and negotiation skills to interact with clients, vendors, and project teams
