What happens when roots get into my pipes?
Eventually they will completely fill the pipe with root masses and stop any solids, tissue, or grease that comes floating along. A complete blockage will eventually result. As the roots continue to grow and expand, they will fill the pipe with their mass in both directions of the pipe. The continued pressure building on the pipe because of this swelling mass can result eventually in a breakage of the pipe and joints.
