Kitchen – 2015
Project LocationMount Joy, PA
Our clients had recently downsized to a rancher in anticipation of the last of their children leaving the house in the near future.
The original 1970’s era kitchen lacked proper storage space and wasted an entire wall of space. It was time to update the look and add much needed storage opportunities.
Interestingly enough, our clients also needed a place for their cats to eat separately from their dog, however, they did not want the cats to be eating on the counter top. Hence, the “cat counter” that you will see in some of these images.
Along with needing all new appliances, our clients desired a slightly modified layout, which we delivered for them by removing the existing soffit, wall cabinetry, and pantry cabinet. In addition we removed the peninsula wall cabinetry to open up the area in to the dining room, allowing for a more spacious look.
The new kitchen incorporated Luxury Vinyl tile flooring for a warm look; a built-in hot water toe kick heater to deliver literal warmth. In addition we added warm birch cabinetry, Cambria Quartz counter tops, tile backsplash, under-cabinet LED lighting, and the Frigidaire Gallery Stainless Steel suite of appliances.
