Bathroom – 2009
Project Location
Lancaster, PAProject Description
A very small shower, very large tub, lots of mirrors and limited storage and counter space did not fit the needs of this couple in their master bathroom. We eliminated the tub and relocated the shower to the previous tub’s position. This change more than doubled the shower’s size and allowed us to take advantage of the vaulted ceiling. This move also made room for a larger vanity and additional storage beside the shower. Recessed, mirrored medicine cabinets took the place of the original open shelving in the wall of mirrors. Ceramic tile on the shower surround and floor and solid surface counters provide the neutral backdrop to bring in a vibrant color on the walls. Semi-custom cabinets completed the look.
While long, narrow rooms can be a challenge, we worked with the room’s structure to fulfill all of the homeowners’ desires.
