Thanks to all who helped in our annual Adopt-a-Highway litter cleanup!

20150418_082253aSaturday April 18th, 2015 saw sunny skies and beautiful conditions for our annual Adopt-A-Highway litter cleanup at Brubaker Inc.

Some of the trash we cleaned up today.

A destroyed child’s life-size backyard doll house was part of the haul of trash that we cleaned up today in our annual Adopt-a-Highway litter cleanup event.

Approximately two miles of roadway along Rohrerstown Road and McGovernville Road (PA Route 741) from Rohrerstown north to PA Route 283 were cleaned of litter and other trash. In about 4 hours almost three dozen bags of trash, along with various and sundry car parts, building materials, wooden pallets, articles of clothing, and such were collected.

This year’s ‘big find’: a 4’x8′ handcrafted backyard doll house.  Someone lost it off of their vehicle and it landed in pieces along the road and was left abandoned.

As has been typical in the past, we may also have accrued enough car parts to open a parts counter!

Many thanks to our friends at Clipper Magazine who joined us today and helped to make the roadway and neighborhood a little cleaner for all!
